Undertook a financial review of the hospital.
Key outputs included developing a Costing model showing the financial performance of services, developing a model to profile the volume and mix of surgeries to optimise theatre and bed utilisation at Porirua hospital, and developing a budgeting model to project the staffing and financial requirements of services.

Provided technical analysis for the review of the performance (productivity and cost of services) of district and high courts. Completed funding review of all corporate Ministry of Justice Baseline Reveiw consult by BMC Wellingtonservices (excluding IT). The recommendations of the Baseline Review were fully accepted by Government.

Project: Resource Modelling Project
Year: 2005/08
Client: Ministry of Justice
Modelling and advising on appropriate levels of resources (judges, personnel, facilities and other) and allocating increased government funding for 62 District Courts in New Zealand.

Produced a performance and funding framework for Restorative Justice providers which involved working with provider representatives to develop the framework including intervention logic, key performance indicators and data collection tools.

Project: Productivity Performance of New Zealand Public Hospitals
Year: 2008
Client: Business Round Table
Produced a paper on the productivity of the New Zealand public hospital sector from 1998/99 to 2005/06. In addition constructed a database for providing comparable sector performance information over the long term to support policy analysis and evaluation. It is intended that the database will be updated on an annual basis and the information on the productivity trends will be extended.
